KETV is having a story now and although the tower will be the same size, it will be cut in half east to west, it looks messed up quite frankly.

Interesting story. At least the project is still a go. That's all I could ask for.

I actually like it better for some crazy reason. It will definitely look taller I bet.

Okay I'll admit that I didn't follow the link. I did read about this in the World Herald this morning.

But my question is this: If it's basically "cut in half", are they building it in such a way that they can add the other half at a later time?

Or at least leave a large enough footprint on the rest of the block for something else to be built?

I Hope they change the tower part of it, it looks so strange without the other half.

Right.

I just hope they get cracking on it. It's getting kind of old seeing that huge hole on 14th & Capital. Plus, the construction will bring work and revenue into Omaha.

Look at it this way, it should take half the time to build!

I think they will redesign it a bit. The article said that construction wouldn't start until new drawings were made. I think it will still look good as long as they tweak it a little bit. It kind of looks like an April Fools joke as it is now.
