Listen -

These things don't actually make your food taste better -

They burn the toast you eat, which is bad for your taste buds -

They also frequently burn houses and electrocute users -

I realized this last year and have not used one since. I'm noticing my bread is softer and colder, but I have not been electrocuted or burned my taste buds. My place hasn't burned down either.

I think you are the only person I have ever come across that doesn't like toast.

I beg to differ. I actually love toast. Especially with a little cinnamon and sugar. That was one of the most common breakfasts for me as a child growing up in the black hills. STILL LOVE IT

If heating up my whole kitchen would do the job, I wouldn't need a toaster. Unfortunately it doesn't.

Thankfully, my furnace heats my whole house.

If your toaster burns your toast, how did it become toast in the first place, and not just bread? Maybe I will use a space heater to make toast!
