All he is saying is that everyone should the right to marry the person they want to, Same-sex or not. Why is this so hard for you?

I don't have that right. Why should he or anyone else?

Marriage laws are just not structured that way. It's not based off of want or love alone. The law is blind to personal feelings and attractions, and we don't write laws based off of emotions. It's just a bad precedent to set.

No, the fact that your rant sounds like jibberish is its own problem.

So blah blah blah about all your "denial rantings."

If you want so badly to get married, go across the river and do it in Iowa. What's keeping you? Seriously?

Gays can only love those of the same gender. They have no other choice.

You probably haven't been around here quite long enough to see that that is ALL he does. EVERY post is some wild, ridiculous gay rant. Pretty dumb.

The law should apply to the needs of the people. The Gay community is excluded from the benefits of a social wide institution! It is time to make room for gays. In Omaha, it is time for a gay district in Benson!!

Sure, the law is blind to love. But the law also stays out of the way of those who want to get married for that reason. Letting gays marry isn't a special right it simply allows them to marry the person of their choosing, just as you have that right, presumably marrying a person of the opposite sex.

He didn't say you HAVE to marry someone for the purposes of love. But the law also should not be used to push people into marriage when they're not "in love."

Besides, this is 2010, how many heterosexual people do you know that get married for reasons other than love?? Sure there is the random gold digger marriage or an immigration marriage, but probably about 99% of couples get married because they love each other.

The point is gays want to be able to freely marry the person they have chosen to be life partners with. Why is that so offensive to people? And how does that hurt you?

I've asked the question as to how gay marriage hurts society in general many times and have never received an answer. Gay couples aren't just going to disappear if gay marriage isn't allowed! So why don't we encourage monogamy in that subset of society?? It just makes little sense.
