I'm not listing the cities with paltry one and two murder numbers. *disdainful sniff*

So far this year:

Grand total: 53

By city:

Santana: 21 (supraaaaze, supraaaaze, supraaaaze)
Anaheim: 6

Garden Grove, Costa Mesa, Stanton, Fullerton, Orange and Rancho Santa Margarita are all knotted up at 3 each. Imagine that, RSM's murders are equal to Stanton's.

These numbers will change as the happy holiday season approaches. Santana gang slime will be on the prowl for gift-toting holiday shoppers. Christmas is always good for at least 2 good murders as drunken family members realize how much they actually hate each other.

Merry f'in Christmas everyone.

So Santa Ana has maybe 15% of the population and 40% of the murders. Sounds about right.

I suspect there was probably one event in RSM that skewed the numbers. Its easy to do when the numbers are low.

Nope.

I went back over the data and painstakingly picked out the RSM murders, so you're welcome:

#39: Late Aug
#35: Late July
#32: Early-mid July

Wow, I would never have guessed 3 murders in RSM? Are these counting things like vehicular homicide?

That could be. My wife works in the court system and says South Court is mostly a bunch of DUI cases. All the "fun" stuff is North and Central ie Anacrime and Santa Ana.

From what I recall, one RSM murder involved a man killing his wife, an executive.
Two dead in Rancho Santa Margarita shooting - News - The Orange County Register
This was a murder-suicide.

Another occurred when a guy who lived in Newport Beach tried one night to enter his ex-girlfriend’s RSM house, uninvited, through the patio door and was shot by her current boyfriend. Also, a missing RSM woman’s body was found in a remote wooded area of Kauai, Hawaii. The last case can't count towards the total 2010 RSM murder count since it happened in another state. The third occurred when a man reported his wife as missing, her body was found and he was charged with murder:
