Hello there everyone-

We're 2 30-somethings relocating from out of state with a 20 pound dog- will be going to grad school, however don't want to live near kiddies under 25 (prefer to be around 30+ folks if we can help it), like the hiking and beaching -

So, what's the good or the great, bad and the ugly of lofts over there? We found out we like the safety and amenities in numbers style of living.

Thanks in advance.

I looked at some lofts in LB on Pine called the Brownstone. The only negative point I found was no garage space, but it had a parking garage.

Downtown Santa Ana probably has the best up and coming loft/urban scene in the OC but even that gets mostly mixed/negative reviews. Chapman University is walking distance to the Orange metrolink stop so you also have the option of lofts in downtown LA although parking in downtown LA is much more expensive and hard to come by.

The OP might be able to find monthly parking near the Orange circle.

Great ideas, guys. Much appreciated.

did find some interesting links for lofts in Santa Ana "Artists Village" - but saw mixed reviews of Santa Ana in general. Looks like they are really trying w/ the downtown- lots of galleries, restaurants, etc.
