An hour from Lake Forest to Mission Viejo? That's preposterous. Lake Forest and Mission Viejo border each other. I can't imagine it ever taking an hour from Lake Forest to Mission Viejo. Even if there was a terrible accident on the freeway, there are so many different side streets you could take.

We live in Aliso Viejo and my son takes a class in Mission Viejo and it only takes us 15-20 minutes to get there.

I would not rule out Lake Forest.

V. =)

I had to drop by a Vet Clinic near Margarita and Oso Parkway in Mission Viejo today, leaving from my home in Aliso, and it took me just under 15 minutes to make the trip.

I agree that Lake Forest should be considered, because it's right next to Mission Viejo, and the OP may be able to find more "reasonably" priced rentals there than in AV.

Someone's got their wires crossed about Lake Forest being far away from Mission Viejo...

Yahoo! Maps, Driving Directions, and Traffic.

BTW, my hubby's co worker lives in Corona and she uses the toll roads every day. Between toll fees, gas and car maintenance that commute can add up, so be aware.

Good luck!

I could WALK from Lake Forest to Mission Viejo in less than an hour.

Thanks I have looked in to Lake forest and from what I can see it is exactly what I am looking for . Can you suggest any good real estate agents that deal with rentals in that area?

Check http://www.hotpads.com first.

Also try realtor.com, but I think you will only be able to find condos and townhouses in your price range:

Here’s a 3 bd/2 bth/ 1,151 sq. ft. townhouse in Lake Forest renting for $1995/month:
3 Chaumont Lake Forest CA - Home for Rent - MLS #S654549 - Realtor.com®

This 3bed/3bth/1,256 sq ft townhouse is renting for $1900/month:
19376 Cascade Dr Lake Forest CA - Home for Rent - MLS #S657244 - Realtor.com®

Also, try this site:
http://www.apartments.com

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend a realtor, but you can try those listed on the attached sites. I doubt that most people even use realtors for rentals. BTW, looking at Lake Forest sounds like a very good idea.

Check Great Schools for school ratings:
http://www.greatschools.org/search/s...=school&q=lake forest&state=CA

Laguna Hills may be another alternative.

Is all of this even possible? Any input is greatly appreciated .
Well after reading your post the only place which come to my mind is Chrisanta Drive. That place is quite reasonable as far as rentals are considered and also you can find some good schools around.
