Gonna Pi$$ off a bunch of people:

Santa Ana sets the bar pretty high in terms of worse.

Overall: Stanton and East Garden Grove

Snobbiness: Lemon Heights, Nellie Gail, Coto de Caza

Crime: Stanton, Eastern Garden Grove, Westminster
Materialism: Aliso Viejo, Nellie Gail, Coto d Caza, Newport Coast
Ugliness: Stanton
Traffic: Huntington Beach

Unwalkable: While there are many trails, most of OC is very difficult for the general pedestrian outside of downtowns or business districts. Not unwalkable, just difficult.

Boring? Stanton, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods

The top three cities for crime are always Santa Ana, Stanton, and Anaheim.

Actually that's a pretty good response as I was sort of half serious in my response to the original post.

Irvine is nowhere near as bad as it used to be 10 or 15 years ago. The city is maturing a bit and showing a little bit of an edge. The newer communities in South County are now filling the obliviot niche.
