Hi guys,

I'm going to the U2 concerts this weekend, and have a hotel room at Best Western/Meridian Inn for the night in between which is a little less than 2 miles from the stadium.

Is it safe to walk at night, or should I just accept the hassles of parking.

I walk about 5 miles outdoors everyday, so I'm not concerned about the distance, just the safety.

Thx!

i would guess that you will have no problems whatsoever. if you really don't want to make the walk back, you can probably find a cab.

Talk to the hotel, they may have a shuttle bus that travels to the event. Should be a safe walk as long as you do not wear a Giants jersey.

What time is the concert over? You might be able to take a bus.

Probably around 11ish. Yes, I wouldn't have an issue with cab or bus, but I honestly don't mind walking if safe, but just didn't want to do if unsafe.

I've walked back longer distances from events before.

I am guessing that you are female and if I am correct in that assumption then I would recommend that you take a cab - especially if you are planning on walking alone. Chances are that you would be safe in that area but why tempt fate?

Check into the Art shuttle - that may work as well

Should be a fine walk though - I've stayed near that area a couple of times (looks like the meridian is on the southern side of the block at orange .... my hotel was on the northern side, a little closer to angel stadium)

I made the walk to catch an angels game and it was fine .... were a few others walking as well, but for the most part it was pretty secluded ..... the area near I-5 may be the only thing that would give some pause to those who aren't comfortable with city walking at night, but really nothing jumped out as being a major concern ..... should be a pretty easy walk

If you are a female walking solo, be safe and catch a cab or a shuttle.

I don't think it runs that late at night.

Just carry a chainsaw. You never hear about people with chainsaws getting assaulted.
