I am looking into places to live and RSM is on the top of my list.

However, I have read some nice things about Ladera Ranch and want to drive by there and check it out. Just wondering if there are any especially nice spots?

Also, if anyone cares to pipe in about why they might choose one place over another would like to hear opinions.

Thanks!

Nope. Just dense tract houses, a shopping center, and lots of underwater residents.

I suspect that HOA fees might be much less in RSM than in Ladera, leading to lower overall monthly housing expenses.

I'm sorry, I didn't clarify. At this point I am only looking to rent. : )

I also have 2 kids, 9 & 7 so looking at a lifestyle geared toward family.

They’re both equally safe and family-friendly, and I can’t think of a compelling reason to select one location over the other. Personally, in this case, with other factors like rent being held constant, I would make my decision based upon which individual apartment/condo/house most appealed to me in terms of layout, view, job proximity, etc.

If you haven't already visited and figured it out.... they are right next door to each other.

What sets Ladera ahead of RSM- IMO- is all the community pools scattered throughout the town and the ocean breezes that come up the canyon. You can even see the ocean from parts of Ladera (on a clear day!).
