Assuming you now live in Orange County, what do you miss most about living in LA?

My parents and my wife's parents still live in LA County (Calabasas and Agoura Hills). Other than that, I don't sense much difference. Geographically about the same, food and restaurants, climate, people, traffic, housing prices, media, amenities, housing costs, taxes, other costs, employment opportunities, etc.

What else besides specific people (family and friends) is in LA that isn't in OC?

One or two things...Dodger Stadium, Staples Center, Ahmansen Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, Geffen Playhouse, LA Symphony, UCLA campus, Hollywood, both Getty Museums, LA Country Museum of Art and other museums, La Brea Tar pits, LAX, Marina del Rey, Santa Monica, LA Zoo, Rose Bowl, Griffith Observatory and Griffith Park, Paramount Studios.

Most of those things are still there to enjoy (Rose Bowl, Getty) at the frequency (once a year??) most people would visit them. It's not like OC is on the other side of the country and many of those places are places to visit on Sundays when traffic isn't quite as bad.

I don't miss most of those places anyway. Either they're too expensive, too much traffic hassle, "been there, done that", I can't miss them since they aren't really "gone", or there's a more convenient equivalent in OC.
