I moved to Connecticut from California and started freshmen year here and have been here since (i'm a junior now). I've always hated it here. This summer i'm going to be moving back out to California and my mom is giving me an option between moving to southern California or back to my old town. But both have pros & cons. I would want to go back to my old town in the bay area just because I have friends there and I know I won't have to be the new kid again but i also don't like it there because it's kind of trashy and I used to get in fights there. I plan on going to college in southern California and I love everything about southern California but I don't know if it's worth risking not having friends or not liking it. Advice please!

As the years fly by you will notice friends fly by as well. So CA is fun and friends are easy to come by.

It's quite easy to make friends in SoCal. I still keep in touch with people I met here over 30 years ago even after they moved away.
