We will be relocating to the orange county area from Michigan and are drawn to Brea. I am trying to decide what jobs I should apply for around Brea that won't be too long of a commute if we live in Brea. I thought 15 miles or less would be a good number but not sure how crazy rush hour gets in this area? There are a lot of cities that are 20-25 miles away - would this be too long of a commute for the area? I was thinking going north west would probably be worst since that is heading to LA. What about working east of Brea or south? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

West on the 210, 10, 60, or 91 and south on the 57 will be the worst commutes in the morning. 20 miles under such conditions could easily be 60 minutes or more. Sometimes a lot more.

I live in Brea and commute to Costa Mesa. Drive is not too bad in he morning anywhere from 20 - 35 minutes. On the way home 35 - 45 minutes. 75% of the time I carpool which helps alot!

My mom used to work for Kirkhill Rubber in Brea, doing accounting. They are now called Kirkhill Elastomers and make specialized products for military aircraft and rockets. She drove from Garden Grove until it became too long a trip.
