Me and my wife are moving to SC from Laguna Beach where we currently rent a one bedroom apartment. We are looking for a 3 bedroom, but would consider 2 + den, in the $400k range. A single family home is preferred but we understand we will most likely get townhome or condo in our price range. We are not opposed to paying for HOA but do not want Melo Roos if at all possible. We are considering Seascape Village due to the square footage and cost. We are in our 30's, is this place going to serve us well? What other locations would you recommend in our budget?

No Mello Roos there and the HOA is around 300 a month if I recall correctly. They were built in the mid-seventies.

Thanks Fontucky. I am also wondering if Seascape Village is a nice place to live and start a family? We are looking to stay for around 5-7 then upgrade with family. What other areas in SC are also good options in the $400k range?
