I need some pro's / con's and costs from anyone who's currently in this situation. I'm only just starting to consider this option and know nothing about lot rent fee's etc.

Are you looking at a family park or +55? Are you looking close to the beach? The lot rents are in the $1000 to over $1500 per month level. And also consider the cost of utilities; electric, gas, water, trash pick-up; sometimes water and trash are included in the monthly fee. You may even consider the property tax on the unit per year. It can be quite an expensive venture. The further north you travel the cheaper it gets.
