No one has mentioned calzones. Mom & pop places in NJ have the best in my opinion ... haven't found one in NYC to compare. They usually have the best bolognese sauce as well.

If you are in San Clemente, don't forget to try Sonny's Pizza.

Pizza shack in Tustin is pretty dang good, especially for the price. After eating there for awhile I had a piece of Pizza Hut pizza and it tasted like the stirred in a half pound of sugar into the sauce.

Pizza shack is good, but the best I ever had was Big "O" to go Pizza in Mission Viejo- That is the pizza that I use as my base to judge all other pizzas.

Costco pizza is probably the best value - that or Laventina's on Balboa Peninsula.

Peppino's "Carlo's Special" is pretty friggin good.

Right now my favorite has to be NY Upper Crust, their garlic knots are insane and very quality ingredients.

For more gourmet tastes http://www.pizzeriaortica.com/ or Pizza e Vino - Antica Pizzeria Napoletana & Enoteca are both great, but pricey.

For super greasy, tons of toppings, belly-aching pizza Ball Park Pizza! can't be beat IMO. There seems to be quite a few of these around.

Any Chicago (Deep Dish) pizza places in West OC area? (Garden Grove, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Cypress, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Long Beach, etc.)

If it's not Chicago style, I'd rather get it dirt cheap (buying frozen from Target and cooking it.)

Costco is pretty good for what you pay for it. Better by far than any thing you get from Pizza Hut, Dominoes and Papa Johns
