I've been in Iowa in early June. HUMID! UGH!

Here the sun destroys wood homes here, we measured the shop wall in direct sunlight with a surface pyrometer it was a cozy 172*... THAT IS NOT A TYPO.

Now I lived in California 52 years, Raced bicycles and regularly road with "Como Street"(google it to see what it is)... Cali does not hold a candle to what the highs are here. It does not feel anywhere close to this.

Anyone complaining about 88* gets no sympathy here.

I wish our news would show what our humidity % have been these last few weeks. Our forecasts for OC have been showing highs in the 80s, but when I turn on the weather channel in the afternoon, it shows the current temps in the 90s. Normally, I love the heat, but its been very sticky and muggy these past few weeks or so. In years past, I typically have had to run the AC one week out of the year, if that.

Hang in there; temps throughout SoCal will be BELOW normal by Tuesday, and remain that way for the rest of the week.

Every time there's a topic about the LOCAL heat, you can bet your buns some knuckle-dragging troglodyte from a blighted part of the country will pop in and call everyone crybabies because of the temps where he lives.

There are still several schools in Capo Unified with no A/C. The Superintendent's been trying to remedy that.

My elementary and middle school didn't have AC. It was miserable baking in a hot classroom in September with nothing but a box fan and little louvered windows near the ceiling for air.

troglodyte = personal attack... Your a democrat are you not? Don't BS me you have already shown it.

I lived in the OC for 25 years and was more than happy to leave, I get to keep more of my own money here, there is nothing good enough in California to stay for... Case in point how the state is run and by whom.

If this is blight give me more. Look who I don't have living close to me.
