Luckily, it's only a few hours, and those who aren't interested don't have to join.

Thanks! I'm not a hardcore fan and rarely watch a game unless it's to spend time with friends (men watching the game, women drinking wine lol), but since we've made it so far into the season, it's exciting to see the city all in a buzz and painted purple, rolling LED billboards, fireworks, etc.

I also love how sports brings together people that are so different. I'd heard about it the last time around when we went to the Super Bowl, but again, I was in CA for that one, too. At least this time I got to see some of what happens here before the big game. It's pretty festive, indeed.

Either way, I love when the underdog proves the naysayers wrong. And I love my hometown, so I like to see them succeed in everything they do. Plus, it brings revenue to our town. So, GO RAVENS!

Ironically, a former co-worker that also relocated to CA (San Diego) just "liked" this on Facebook, for anyone in SoCal that is interested. https://www.facebook.com/SoCalRavensFans

I hate football, that's all. And basketball. Hockey. NASCAR. The Yankees.

lol Nothing wrong with that.

I played sports and cheered (and did ballet, but different mentality), so to me it can be fun, with the right set of friends, and if it's a more low-key thing. But I'm not over the top about it like many around here. It's still fun, though, to see everyone coming together and being happy.

I understand that. Not everybody is a sport's fan. However why would you bother to make a meaningless comment on a thread that is obviously about football?
