Hi Folks,

I just moved to Orange County couple months ago. I am still getting used to the area (Beautiful place…)

I am working near John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana. I am looking to buy my first home near work. I am thinking of searching for home in Orange, Tustin, Santa Ana, Huntingdon Beach, and Fountain Valley.

I have looked at the homes on different real estate sites, but I feel like I need a good realtor in order to move forward. Can someone please suggest good real estate agent or company? Also, please suggest cities that are near SNA airport which I should look at too.

I really appreciate all the help that I can get.

Thank you so much in advance!!!

Have a wonderful day.

Cannot recommend Ruth Taylor enough at Keller Williams OC Realty. Just did two deals with her. One in OC, the other in SD.

Extremely hard worker. Very thorough. Great eye. We trusted her enough to buy a property sight unseen by us.

Good realtor? That's a laugh.

The more you pay, the more they make.

What? They shouldn't get paid for what they do?
Ruth's just moved over to RE/MAX, BTW.

I think he means that they put their own profit making agenda above the interests of their clients....

FYI, a higher price doesn't always mean a bigger payday.

I have a friend who is a broker and has her own business. Not associated with big corporate companies. She has done two deals for me and has done a great job. She is meticulous on paperwork and is a Board Member for the Orange County Board of Realtors. She knows her stuff and is tenacious about getting you a good buy. I highly recommend her. Her name is Jill McGovern and you can reach her at Jill@JillMcGovern.com

Go with redfin, they give you 3% back. That's tens of thousands of dollars.

The other realtors give nothing back.

Redfin does not give you 3% of the purchase price back. They do, however, have the "redfin refund" which varies by home and the amount is shown on the listing page. I don't know how high they go, but I've seen it go upwards of 20% of the agent's commission (which can be between 1-3% of the purchase price). I've seen other realtors offer similar incentives and everything is negotiable.
