I walk a lot here and ride bikes. There are some cute areas near Fullerton College...the community college. If you send me a message I can answer more specific questions...like street names, etc.

Fullerton is relatively safe....more crime towards downtown Fullerton. I live near Cal State Fullerton. It's really hot here, but MUCH hotter in Corona/Riverside. The traffic on the 91 to Corona is really bad too.

The nice 3 bedroom 2 bath apt I moved out of ended up renting for $1675 with $500 security deposit. No wonder people were rushing over to see it. Unfortunately, everyone had really bad credit . Fortunately, a tenant at the apt wanted the unit so we gave it to them. There are good rentals out there if you look.

Just saw that the one for rent in my area is way over the budget you mentioned.
Good luck!
