Hello. I am a 20 year old from Michigan. I want to move to California in 1-2 years. I currently go to college for nursing and I work full time at an AFC group home. We have a very close family friend that would let me live with her. She lives in orange county. My work also has a house in laguna hills that I could transfer too and I would finish school there. I think that I have a pretty good plan, but my parents think otherwise. They keep telling me not to move out there because everything costs to much and they don't think I'd be able to make it.

Do you guys think that I have a pretty good plan in place and if not how can I make it better?

Also does anybody know how the healthcare business is doing out there? I'm studying to be an RN and I have my CNA license and I want to be a midwife.

Thanks!

You should do fine in CA as a nurse ..

If you said you were coming to la to become the next movie star and have no education or skills

Then I'd be more likely to agree with your parents .

In ca it's mostly housing and gas that costs more ... So it's not really everything ..

It's your life ... Why be stuck where you are ? Nurses make great money in ca

Then your job is to prove them wrong. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Do what makes you happy. Other people like that just aren't used to having some adventure in their life and taking risks.

Oh. Well I never really looked it up yet. I'm actually not really sure where exactly she lives. She just told me orange county. Hmmm, I'll have to ask.
