Hi all,

I am moving to southern California and I got a job in Newport Beach and my wife will have a job in Rancho Cucamonga.
What best place would you advise for us to live?
We have no kids and both have 27. We are no party people and we are looking for some nice and quiet area.
We are searching for a place where commuting for both of us would be smartest as I know these two places we will work are pretty far away from each other.
I do not know what the traffic is there. What would you advise?
I was looking for Corona what looks like a nice and safe place with affordable living.
Is it a good idea or is there another place that would make more sense?

Thank you so much!

Corona/Anaheim Hills/Placentia were the ones that jumped to the top of my head. Rancho Cucamonga has a MetroLink station, not sure if that is of any consideration...

Thank you for the tips! I just checked MetroLink , but unfortunately it looks the routes are more focused on directions to Los Angeles.

I would recommend Chino Hills. About midway between the two cities.
Get a fast trak pass and use the 241/261 toll road to get to Newport Beach

You can always try Brea, too

Another thing to keep in mind is the commute towards Rancho in the morning (from somewhere south west) would generally be easier than the commute towards Newport (from somewhere north east)

Don't know about the commute to RC, but I would discourage you from considering Corona, if only because your commute to NB would be horrendous. That commute is legendary for being awful and stress-inducing…(If you can afford to, and want to, fork over the money to drive the Toll Road, that could help, though.)
