Just wanted to see if anybody had an opinion about where to get the best Cable / internet / phone bundle in Orange County. I know there are probably a few providers - but don't know who's best / cheapest??

Any thoughts?

Right now, Cox is running a $75/mo. bundle special for 6 months. I received a flyer in the mail last week. After your six months is up, I call them and let them know that you were thinking of going with Direct TV. My friend did this and he said that he only pays like $65 .mo. It's worth a shot.

For single people the cheapest combination packages (phone internet television) now are through cellular networks with AT&T having some very good options. Hotspot data can run your home computer.

If you are not single, or you make use of massive amounts of data, it's invariably cheaper now to buy just internet for the home, and purchase your own streaming services and VOIP telephone.

Google fiber 1000 Mbps is $70 a month.

"Avoid Frontier"

I would second that opinion. When I moved into my place the Frontier phone equipment, Internet and TV cabling was already installed for the previous tenant. He had it cabled into multiple rooms. I only needed them to bring me a new modem/router because that one item had been removed, and to turn on the service again and provide my new phone number.

Made an appointment for a week later, they didn't show up. Made another appointment, they didn't show up for that one either. Received no phone calls from them. Talked to someone who I believe was a customer service manager and explained I only needed the modem/router installed. He guaranteed someone would be here in no more than two days.

They didn't show up. No calls either. Talked to customer service again and the guy said they were pretty far behind on their service appointments and it would be another month before they could get someone out here.

I told them to cancel the order and called Spectrum instead. Spectrum is expensive, no bargain there, but they were very quick to respond and the interactions with customer service were much better than Frontier. They had everything up and running fairly quickly. I've had them for a couple years now, no issues with the service, so far........
