Yeah, my point is that there are a few people at the top with drastically higher income than the others.

Do you understand what the word density means. You're pretty goddam obtuse. Quit trying to move goal posts and just stop typing.

Certainly not how you interpret it. Orange county is denser.

That easy enough for you to understand?

Density = population/square foot, not population only

But I also believe in smart development and urbanizing natural, open space is not always a good idea. A good example of a county that does a good job in balancing open space with urbanization is Ventura County. They avoided the overdevelopment from their county to the South and yet they still have relatively affordable housing.
Exactly. OC is overdeveloped and hardly needs more housing. Nonetheless, the drum is beating from the OC Supervisors and our cities to build ever more.

I live in a town with tons of open space. I want it to remain that way. Open space adds to quality of life.

Yes, open space is CRITICAL to quality of life.

It seems like the powers-that-be want to pack everyone like sardines in a small amount of space.

Fortunately, thanks to the vision of many conservationists, a lot of CA land has been set aside for public land use and is protected from development.

On a side note, what do you feel about Tejon Ranch? It is the largest private land at about 270,000 acres. Approximately 90% of the land was protected, on the condition that 30,000 acres are allowed to be developed for residential and commercial purposes.
