The people who move into the new Laguna Hills development will likely do most of their day-to-day shopping in Laguna Hills and Lake Forest.

If need be, they will also be able to just jump onto the nearby 5 (Congested during rush hours) to get to work.

At any rate, the old Laguna Hills Mall was nothing but an eyesore.

I've been here for 30 years..that mall seemed to be doing OK in the early to mid 1990s. But it has fallen off a cliff, some of the outer parking spots probably hadn't had a car in them for years. One question for me is Macy's. Irvine spectrum Macy's has closed, and the chain has announced more closings next year. Macy's is well present in MV mall. To me the Macy's store in LH looks to need some updating.

I'm not too much of a shopper at all, except an occasional suit, tie, and shoes. However, Macy's is nice to have around and is a favorite for my Christmas gift shopping for the ladies in the family. I didn't care that they closed at the Spectrum, but I would be angry if it closed at the Crowne Valley Mall. However, if it survives at 5 Lagunas too, I'd be grateful for that too. I'm not about to go Bloomies at SCP and spend more than is necessary.

i actually like shopping in that commercial center. I mean, I like my spouse to be shopping there and can just seat relaxing w/o the crowd you see at Spectrum

no competition for parking..you can park right in front of the department store you want to shop..what not to like about that?
