I apologies if this has been covered a lot of times, new to the site and will search after. I will be relocating to a new job in Garden Grove. 38 yr old with no kids and an active life style. I am coming from Baltimore so I understand city living, but do not want to have to worry about my safety or my personal belongings at all times. I also would like to be in area were there is stuff to do with a bike commute. What would be the best area near Garden City that would not cause me to have more then a 40 minute commute with normal traffic. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Happy 4th. Budget I would assume median; comfortable, but not changing a banks investment sheets.

Tustin is a solid choice. Central to most things in OC. Safe, clean and reasonably priced for OC. Since you are coming from a REAL city 'Baltimore' everything in OC will seem like a breeze.

I agree that life will seem easy comparatively.

Gee I wonder what the budget might be and whether op intends to rent or buy. What does changing a bank's investment sheets mean?

Taking a guess poster might mean not having so much dough in the bank it has to rewrite their investment reports? Maybe?

I am an east coast tourist. From what I have seen, the closer you are to the beach the better and safer.

Welcome, I'm also from the DMV. I think Tustin and the eastern side of Orange is a good choice. There's orettt much a lot to do wherever you live
