My sister is taking everything she had in her prior house out of storage tomorrow, & her friends had told her she could call thrift stores to take what the consignment store wouldn't take . . . but says that none of them pick items up anymore . . . and she called every one she could think of (including women's shelters). Why . . . ?

She has "tons" of clothes; bath towels; linens (probably silk sheets); some outdoor furniture . . . and I don't know what else . . . that she'll have to send to the dump if she can't find someone to pick it up.

She's going to start removing things from the storage place at 10:30 am.

Does anyone know of a good way to keep it from winding up in the dump?

I think Pet Rescues would likely be interested in the towels!

She already called each of those. . . .
They don't want what she has.
If anything is over 7 years old, they don't want it.
Silk bed linens in absolutely excellent shape, they won't take.
(We're guessing they must be glutted with stuff . . . ?)

She's got a list of churches in the area that might be interested.
But it's such short notice!
