It's not bad. Clean air, lots of outdoor beauty.

Sure it's cold sometimes, but that's why I don't stick around during the long night months. During the Summer, you get 20+ hours of sunlight which for me is a plus since I feel like I can simply do more stuff because the days are so long.

This is around 8:00PM in the evening in Anchorage after I went into the city for Dinner.
How do you split your time?

Palmer is definitely a part-time living situation for me, I have no business interest in the area, no family, and only a few friends at this point. I was there for a couple of weeks this Summer, and I'll be back in September. It's going to be a Summer home for me unless I start a new business venture in Alaska (and I have a few ideas).

Maybe most OCers. This one kinda likes housing tracts and block numbers anywhere.

I've spent 12 years in MV, love it here. Would probably never leave...if... I could afford decent house here.

But I cannot... and 400+ sq ft. for a condo just doesn't work for me.

But if you can afford a home here, or accept being a lifelong renter or condo living, it is a very nice place.
