i did a google search and found gyms, but no boxing gyms or schools. One boxing gym I know about, is because someone told me about it. I thought maybe someone else here might know others. thanks ……..

You may have to compromise a bit and drive , but I found all kinds of martial arts training locations ....you can look up their websites on your computer.

I found these gyms too, I am just looking for a boxing gym only, not MMA. I found many gyms online too, I just want one near, the Cypress College area. I was hoping someone near me would know about a boxing gym. I found one which I will check out soon, but from a friend. Thanks.....

As a student of martial arts for almost a decade, I hold a lot of respect for boxers. I have trained with them, fought them and I also received some training. I tried finding a serious boxing gym but there are none where I live. It's all MMA/UFC type stuff which is the rage right now. Traditional martial art schools are suffering because of this. Anyway, keep us posted on your hunt.

I used to work at a boxing gym in OC. The problem is it is too hard to make money off of boxing alone so the gym's either close or have to offer other classes that appeal to more people (MMA, cardio kickboxing, etc) to pay their bills. I'm sure you can still find good instructors and classes that are just for boxing but the gym most likely will offer other classes as well. You just have to check them out in person and talk with the owner/instructors to find one you are comfortable with.
