Hi. I grew up in West Anaheim. I went to several grade schools (including Clara Barton, Bel Air, Prince of Peace) and Brookhurst Junior High. I was wondering if anyone that lived in that area (Brookhurst to Euclid, Lincoln to Ball) during that time had any photos or stories to share?

I for one have fond memories of going to the Target that used to be off Lincoln and Mueller. I remember getting lots of grilled cheese sandwiches and hot dogs at the dining area next to the entrance and lots of toys (TMNTs, transformers, legos, etc). My grandparents would also take us (me and my sister) to that Carl's Jr across the street. I drove by it the other day. The sign is still there, but now it's a mexican restaurant.

We lived in La Habra, but my dad had an office in the Cal Fed building at Euclid and Crescent up until, I'd say about 1990. Apart from visiting his workplace and Disneyland, my main memory of Anaheim is eating at Carl's Jr. (the ONLY fast-food place my parents would consider patronizing, because they had a nodding acquaintance with Carl Karcher) or, wasn't there also a one-off, sit-down Carl's restaurant nearby? I kind of remember that.

I'm not sure. The only one I ever went to was off Mueller and Lincoln.

Thanks. I saw this really long thread about what OC was like in the 50s and 60s so I thought I'd give it a try for when I lived there. Guess these other sites my be more appropriate.
