What's the best hospital (nurses, rooms, facilities) to give birth that has private rooms?

I don't know about "best" hospital, but a private room for new mothers seems to be standard. I had two babies at Saddleback Memorial and one at Mission Hospital, and always had a private room.

I had a heart valve replaced at Hoag in Newport Beach a couple years ago. Fantastic hospital. I had a private room and was told by a nurse that all rooms there are private.

In my 50 years of nursing, have seen so many changes in hospital design...all for the better..

We here in the OC are very lucky to have so many excellent facilities.....and very skilled providers..

As a nurse , and being75/80 ....we choose our hospitals sorta based on what surgeon we need! Hoag saved my life in 1976 after a head on collision, I worked at St Joseph for 10 years, have had surgery at both, hubby at Saddleback, z
All my sisters and grand babies Born ay Mission...As an NP I worked for Kaiser for 20 years..their hospital in Irvine is great..

My suggestion to folks..go where your insurance will cover, ask friends where they went..

Ask a nurse! We always have good suggestions!

Since money was no object (because they left the bills for the taxpayers to pay), I'm going with the hospital most of the Chinese Birth Tourism "tourists" chose, Hong, Irvine.
