I'm looking to move into the LWV community within the next 5 years. I would like to know where I can find what the average increase of the HOA have been over the years? How much of an increase to HOAs has there been over the past 5 to 10 years?

Anyone know where I can get this info?

Thanks.

Have you tried calling the main office? Or find out when the next association meeting is and attend it.

Any updates? This would be helpful information for me as well.

My wife and I recently had a business dinner with my old college dorm mate/high school friend whom we haven't seen in 15 years. He purchased his parent's house to raise his own family in, and his parents in turn moved down to Laguna Woods. If no one posts any relevant information soon, I suppose I could ask him and post his response.

There are at least three different homeowners associations, plus The Towers, depending on the type of home (co-op vs non-co-op). In the co-ops the HOA covers all the maintenance of the manor (LWV name for a unit) including roof, grounds, exterior painting, plumbing, co-op approved appliances or generally any problem in the unit itself. Then it includes all the recreational activities (pools, gyms, clubhouses, golf courses, stables, etc), a bus system that will take you to nearby markets and medical offices and basic cable TV.

All in all, I think they are pretty reasonable. I think my parents pay about $600 a month currently.
