Laguna Niguel, sure, people there are pretty wealthy and there is quite a bit of plastic surgery going on. Irvine also has a lot of upwardly mobile types; I would say it's the closest to Newport Beach in this regard of all the cities you mentioned.
Disagree. They might not have all the money but they're just as pretentious.

I'm curious; where do you live?

I'll go first: I live in Rancho Santa Margarita, kind of up behind Mission Viejo and very close to Lake Forest/Foothill Ranch.

Why, what does that have to do with anything? I now divide my time between Fort Lauderdale and Palm Desert.

Just wondering how intimately you know the pretentious plastic people of Mission Viejo and Lake Forest.

Don't bother arguing, Jay, there's a lot of trolling here!

I can't judge or whatnot.

Mr_California, I'd say you can safely ignore Jay100's comments. Anyone who isn't willing to lay out their bonafides as to how they arrived at their advice isn't worth listening to.

I have friends who live in West Garden Grove; they have kids 13, 11 and 8 and love it. It would meet the criteria you laid out.

Mr Corona. Anybody who doesn't heed his own advice (you) about not listening to people they themselves listen to (contradiction), is not worth listening to (you).

Corona del Mar. In Orange County. Newport Beach. If you knew anything about Orange County you'd know where CdM is. But the point really is, I show where I live. People can use that information in evaluating what I say.

You like RSM? My realtor recommended it. How are the politics? Is it super conservative?

Someone brought up Stanton, but apparently that area is pretty ghetto? Looks like they're building a nice development there called Beach @ Lantana.
