You're wrong. Most people in California do not think about politics on a daily basis.

Clearly that's not true. So if this is just going to be a continuation of hyperbolic nonsense I don't really know how to respond...

a) having seen the direction of California the last 40 years, especially the last 30, I think I am on pretty solid ground b) based on the behavior I saw in Laguna Beach this last weekend from visitors I know I am not being hyperbolic

In the Bay Area, you know who is liberal. They all have crazy signs all over their front yards.

OP: I believe that you'll receive a few rude comments here and there but the So Cal magas aren't usually as vociferous and twisted as say, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida panhandle magas. Avoid the OC/SD maga gangs and you should be good. Overall, Ladera is a great place to raise a fam.

Well, that's why we say America is a multiracial country but not a multicultural country. And I love it. Immigrants are assimilating to the superior American way of suburban living.

Valley girl stereotype. But that metrologist on CBS 2 11AM today is ether a push-over or was high on pot from home.

But I agree with the OP's point: Why would anybody move cross-continent to the coasts and pay a higher COL to live in Texas 2.0? The real thing is still affordable.

You're better off moving to Huntington Beach or Los Alamitos, most middle-class MAGA suburban area.

One direction California has gone the last 40 years is that real estate has appreciated faster than anywhere in the country. Another direction California has gone is continually tried new things that are often followed by other states several years later.
