Knott’s is cheaper and less crowded than Disneyland. Fewer attractions and has a sketchier group of visitors. Don’t think I’ve ever seen more gangland tattoos anywhere. Full sleeves, on the neck and on shaved heads. Kinda fun to watch strangely enough.

Can’t rep you again but spot on. It’s also not only Disneyland that’s suffering. All the employees at DL Knotts Universal Studios and Six Flags are really suffering. Knotts scary farm was practically the only thing keeping that park open now ... gone. Universal haunted nights ....gone. All the restaurants and hotels around theme parks.... hanging on by their fingernails or closed forever. I stayed at a Marriott twice since this started both times no maid service or room service. They have a skeleton crew there. I wouldn’t be surprised if they file bankruptcy soon.

My friend works in the park at DL and she’s been out of work since they closed and has no idea when Newscum will reopen the parks. She loved her job

I can guarantee those who want to keep this insanity up have not been affected like millions of others, it's sadistic.

Other states have had their theme parks open for months, but the Tsar here wants to punish as many people as he can. Six Flags Texas has been open for months, there is no excuse for still having shutdowns like this unless it is for political reasons; the science does not back these people up.
It stopped being about science months ago. Yesterday the W H O said lockdowns don’t work and Last March Dr Fauci said masks don’t work. Both totally ignored by Newscum and Ca gov. Only people that like to be blindly herded will stay in. CA.

Interesting blog.

Orange County will not enter the yellow tier anytime in November or December 2020. After a bit of recent regression, the county will be lucky to hit the orange/moderate tier by some point in the next month.

The problem is that entering the yellow/minimal tier requires significant improvement.

When will Disneyland reopen?:

Newsome has moved the goalposts for reopening theme parks to "unforeseeable future." It could easily be six months before we reach the lowest tier, if then--and by then the tier system will have been replaced by something else unattainable.

"When there's disagreements in terms of opening a major theme park, we're going to let science and data make that determination," the governor said.

Whatever that means.

"Science and data" doesn't make any decisions; people interpreting the science and data make the decisions. It's people including the governor who are in disagreement about reopening theme parks, not science or data.

Someone told me they read that Disneyland has enough money to stay closed for 2 YEARS & still not lose any money...not that they or any of us wants them to be closed for that long, of course.

Look at this video of Universal Citiwalk 3 weeks ago. You can count on 2 hands the total people there. I hope the whole thing doesn't go out of business as we fear many might.

However, in the meantime Downtown Disney's hustling & bustling. It's a little surprising (to me anyway) how much more popular Disney is than Universal Studios.
