My 3 daughters all graduated from Los Alamitos which serves Seal Beach and some other little pieces as well as Los Al. It is an exceptionally nice conventional high school. Has good athletics and such as well as pretty good academics. After graduating my eldest got accepted to UCLA though in the end she went CA state. Local pressures.

Los Al and Seal Beach are a mildly conservative area with high upper middle class population. There are however a number of less expensive neighborhoods.

Unless your kid is of the genius class I recommend it highly. Simply a very nice place to live.
