Totally agree. However I would pick Cypress over west Garden Grove. But honestly if you can swing it, go to south OC like Lake Forest or Laguna Hills. Comparable prices, you're surrounded by other nice cities, and thus less crime. As proximity to cities like Long Beach and Bellflower is where the crime comes from in the area you're considering.

South Orange County seems a little too suburban to me. I grew up in a big city and like West Garden Grove because it's close to Long Beach. Even though Long Beach is not quite like a big city, it's close enough and is cleaner than Los Angeles. I guess Cypress would be alright too.

Don't think I saw anything mentioned regarding racism?

If you like Long Beach, look in the Bixby area and Seal Beach. Maybe Lakewood too.

Seal Beach is nice, but a little pricey. As far as Lakewood, I would rather be in Orange County than LA County as it's more conservative.

In general I would agree because Cypress has a better school district therefore will be in demand when you sell. However; certain part of Garden Grove goes to Los Alamitos school district so it's also highly desirable.

Mexicans have always been in OC. There was never any time when OC was all white. And before the Mexicans, OC belonged to brown Native Americans.

But then again, we had 'cute' names for most cities, Anaslime, Guada-La Habra, Costa Misery and so on.
I've heard Stabba Ana and Anacrime and Fake Forest and Fraudera Ranch.

Fraudera Ranch!

I have family down there that has been investigated more than once, so this is accurate.
