How much is your annual homeowners insurance premium? I’m trying to get an idea of how much it would cost for a typical 1,500 sf ranch in Lake Forest. This is assuming that it’s on flat land and not near any hills.

We're nearby in Rancho Santa Margarita, 1300 sq ft house, not on a hill or near other risky areas (wildfire zone, etc.)

Our annual premium is $1175 through State Farm.

Even homes that aren't in high risk zones are now being affected by the insurance crisis: https://www.sfchronicle.com/californ...r-18626298.php

State Farm, along with a number of other insurers, no longer writes new policies in California. Those taking new customers charge higher premiums. You cannot rely on someone with an existing policy to predict cost, really need to call around for quotes to get an accurate picture.
