I'll be working near San Clemente, CA for a couple weeks.

Anyone know this area? What should I check out?

Tips on bars, restaurants, scenery, ect. in San Clemente are appreciated.

Thanks everyone!

Several decent places to eat downtown, which is quite appealing.

Stroll along Del Mar. Have a drink at Fisherman's on the pier and watch the surfers ( they also have AWESOME calamari! ). Drive through the town - San Clemente is almost like a mini San Diego. Very cute town. My favorite in OC - used to live there but the commute to North OC got to be a bit much. Stay beach side of the 5 - the other side doesn't have the character that the beach side has. Temperature is always very pleasant in San Clemente.
