I live in Irvine and totally agree with you, The Irvine Police Dept have nothing better to do all day than to pull people over for the littelest things. What is even more funnier is when you see that they have pulled someone over and there is only one person in the car and you see at least three to four police cars lined up for only that one person. What a waste of city money.

That ticket is nothing. It is a fix-it ticket. Fix the problem and it will be dismissed. I thought you were going to say you got a beat down or something...

You broke the law and got a ticket for it. So? If you don't want a ticket, don't break the law. It sounds pretty simple to me. Also, insulting or ranting about a police officer because he/she was doing his/her job is messed up. So what if there are many others breaking the law out there who don't get caught? That doesn't mean it's wrong for the police officer to enforce the law.

If you really don't agree with the law, you can write your local officials to have it changed. You can demonstrate and petition for change. You can run for local office. You can publicize laws you don't think are fair. Basically, you have many options. You won't get thrown in jail or physically abused because you exercised your right to free speech.

Don't insult the people who suffered under Nazi Germany by comparing the life under that regime to any situation in Irvine. That's ignorant and offensive.

Your name must not be Goldstein or Feldman or Meltzer or Epstein.

That's complete bull. If they really want to do DUI inspections, then they have to set up inspection points on certain streets and on certain days. Pulling over somebody just because you have a mince about somebody is racial profiling and wrong. Look what happen to Rodney King???????:mad ::mad ::mad ::mad ::mad ::mad ::mad :

If you drive around breaking the law in plain sight, you can be pulled over. Its as simple as that. If you want to reduce your chance of being stopped, you'd better drive like a boy scout and make sure your car is 100% legal (ie no tint, no fart pipe, no broken lights, etc)
