How about the people who grew up in El Toro? Lake Forest... fooey. Sounds so pussified and the product of the HOA mindset.
That's why we're forming a Committee To Put Things Back The Way They Were. The second order of business after tearing down the Ritz Carlton and asking the Youngs to move their beach camp back to control access to Salt Creek .(they knew how to keep the riff-raff out) will be to dis-incorporate all cities that were formed after 1980 and return all annexed areas to their previous identities and unincorporated status.

Actually though, while we were in the 92677 zip we didn't refer to our little end of Laguna Niguel as Laguna Niguel, which sounded too tract-house planned community, but as South Laguna. When someone asked us where we lived we said South Laguna. Snobbiness existed even back then. I can imagine the horror when the local residents there had to start referring to it as Dana Point, which back in the day was generally associated with old bungalows and apartments.

Even way back in the seventies, OCSO deputies called Violet Lantern "Violent Lantern".

Fortunately Green Lantern was there to bring the perps to justice.

I'm trying to decide if the "slag" line or the Green Lantern one made me laugh harder. I'll flip a coin and which ever side of the border it lands on, the appropriate reference wins.

TRUE!!! Adding to that, Laguna Niguel's City Council took a responsible stand against the illegal alien issue
by declaring that it is a RULE OF LAW City.

Unlike it's liberal neighbor to the north (Laguna Beach), Laguna Niguel remains a safe and sane place to live.

One reason we designated it the Boring Capital of the World. However, my wife disputes this, claiming Mission Viejo should get that award.

Hmmm, Laguna Beach is very safe and interesting.

I think the liberal part is what he's poo-pooing. It's not Kansas-near-the-coast enough like LN.
