Just because someone disagrees, does not mean they are against you or that they are a negative person. Since very few people on this forum are pointing out the negatives, except as desired to people they don't want moving here, I think it's just as important to show cons as it is to show pros!

I'm a current resident and it is just as important to let others know about my experiences as it is to let them know about yours. Everyone here makes up a community, and within a community, all opinions are valuable. Perhaps looking at what is being said rather than being instantly defensive would be the best stance to take...I feel no harshness or negativity whatsoever, I'm simply stating my experiences and personal knowledge.

I'm fine with someone having their own opinion, but the negativity of your posts is bringing down what is otherwise a pretty good forum. Just like everywhere, there are good and bad parts of OC. I wouldn't be alone in saying that the good parts far far outweigh the bad, however. Yet, you seem to want to generalize it all as bad, which I don't get. I mean, if you're done with OC, based on your own experiences, fine; no need to spread your negativity on what most people feel is a pretty nice place to live/raise a family. Speaking of South County OC specifically, what isn't to like about low crime, good schools, close to the beach, close to disneyland/knott's, seaworld, etc. Call me in denial if you will, but I've lived in OC for over 6 years and am very happy. My wife and I are raising our 3-year old son in Irvine and are looking forward to purchasing a house in this county to live for years to come. I have previously lived in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach, no problems there either.
