Racism is everywhere. It's not prevalent in OC, but it does happen. Someone mentioned the family in Rossmoor who had acid bombs placed outside their rental home in Rossmoor.

2012: Even worse treatment for a Black family in Yorba Linda

These articles are a few years old, but I think my experience last year with a school official in Yorba Linda was in part due to her racism against my mixed daughter. This was at a Christian school, so racism could be anywhere. OC though is not the most racist county in the state.

Interesting enough, there's a thread on here asking the exact opposite question: is Orange County the LEAST racist county in California?

Not sure how two posters can have exact opposite assumptions. That's some kind of coincidence.

But it doesn't seem like it's the most racist county in the state, though.

We become more aware or racism in acts of violence, but OC for the most part isn’t a violent place. Whether people are getting rejected from jobs, bullied, ostracized because of their skin color is another issue.

The one thing that can be said for OC is at least the cops there aren’t shooting unarmed black kids left and right, as is the norm in LA.

I grew up in OC and racism was only really on the news from other places. Did some exist, yes, was it a lot, nope.
