Do you and your family have all of the food and water you need to survive the first 72 hours of an earhtquake. Where do you go to buy these supplies? Is there a local store in to find everything you need? Where can you by Meals ready to eat like the sodiers in Iraq eat. I hear they last a long time??

When we lived in California we never actually bought extra supplies to have on hand. I do know that Costco last year was selling big drums that was an emergency supply kit. I think it was around 100bucks. It was supposed to have everything that you needed except water, i believe.

The LDS church (mormons) are big on food storage. They're all supposed to keep a years' supply on hand.
So they might have some web sites with good info.

I know when we visited Utah we saw several food storage/emergency preparedness type stores. I'm sure they would have stuff for 72 hour storage as well.
