Yes.

Go to Google Maps and navigate to the 57 freeway.

Click on traffic, at Time and Day.

You can also go to sigalert.com at 6AM and see for yourself real time.

North at 6am shouldn't be too bad since everyone and their brother is heading south in the morning.

Should be very good, if not a bit congested around 60 connector/Imperial Hwy at times. During the school year (Sept - June) it gets a bit worse because of the amount of people trying to get to Cal State Fullerton / Fullerton JC.

Correct. In the morning most people are commuting south... you should have no troubles... especially at 6am.

Default Orange (57) fwy.

Of all of OC's freeways, the nb Orange early am is perhaps the smoothest. On the flip side, the sb in the afternoon is also usually pretty good. The reason is that you will be moving in the direction contrary to travel patterns. At 6 am nb,perhaps a little congestion at the intersection with the Riverside (91) fwy,at Imperial, and, worst of all,at the Pomona (60) fwy junction through the area around the golf course.Still, unless there is a crash, can usually move at full or near full, speed.

I have been on the 57 up in OC before at around that time and the traffic wasn't that bad at all in either direction. Out of all of my trips to OC, the only time I remember the 57 being rough was in Anaheim right before and after Angels games. Last month when I went to a game, I remember that the longest part of the trip from SD was from the 5 in Tustin to the parking lot at Angels stadium. That part of the trip took almost 45 minutes! Anyway, you shouldn't have any major problems with the 57.
