Its still there as far as I know. Its pretty safe but it goes through some bad areas so I wouldn't ride it at night.

I live 30 min west of Atlanta,GA in Douglasville,GA, but i have a Winston zip code which is a bedroom community of Douglas County,GA. I moved here w/ my parent when i was 12 years old due to my father being laidoff a couple times. My parents both wanted to move me an my twin baby sisters back down south because of family, good job oppurtunities and an easier living overall.

I was born in garden grove, but i grew up in Santa Ana until i was about 7 years old then we moved to Eltoro/Mission Viejo once my dad finished college and got a better job.

But to make a long story short me and my older cousin used to ride the rivertrail down past anahiem stadium, past the big angel sign. Is that sign still erected there?

Yep, the Big A is still there. Go to Google maps and drag the little yellow "steet view" guy to the 57 freeway and you can see it. I used to ride the river trail from Fountain Valley all the way up to I think Green River Rd. I remember one last long climb to a hill with a Carl's Jr. and a gas station at the top. At that point there didn't seem to be any safe way to continue so that was as far as I went.

I'm not really sure, but i've always heard that you could ride the trail all the way to the coastline

The Santa Ana river trail goes all the way down to the beach. From there, you can take the beach trail up the coast toward Sunset Beach or down Balboa Peninsula. Of course there's also PCH but the traffic and lack of a bike lane makes it pretty dangerous for a bike. I used to do it when I was in high school, but now I'd rather take my changes with the wildlife on a mountain bike.
