I cal BS. So, she got the trailer because her father died. She was living with her bi-polar mother. She never said that anything happened to her mother.
I can see why she may prefer to take to the streets in an RV instead of suffering the mother, but she is doing this on her own accord.

There are many homeless around here, many in cars and motorhomes and many more under the freeway bridges. The word "homeless" describes both but I am more concerned about the ones with no shelter.

Maybe you should explain why it is his fault..?? What would the other side had thought if after Bush was elected he spent the first year telling us everything was Clinton's fault? In the case of the economy, I think there is plenty of blame to go around. Is Bush totally responsible for the collaspse of the car industry or the over-priced properties in Ca and Fl to mention a few states? Did he get Ca into debt over their heads?

I read the article. Uhh, I feel bad for her that she has such %%%Y parents, who by the way, were responsible for her being molested as a toddler; many girls who work in porn come from homes like hers.

Irrespective of that, she's a strong woman and her only major blunder was not buying a home when she was making good money! I see this pretty frequently; young people who have some good years making money (30k+) but they don't save it because they rather buy the newest car, clothes all while RENTING in a high end area to give themselves and others the illusion they are successful.

As far as I'm concerned if you don't own a home/condo/land your largest priority in life should be to own one so situations like this won't happen.

Interesting story. I don't see where she was an executive though. Looks awful young to be an executive.

I wouldn't blame Bush for everything. I think conservativism is at fault of America's fiscal implosion. The whole song and dance about getting rid of government regulation so businesses can prosper hasn't worked out so well. Duh. If you get rid of the law, lawless behavior takes over. It doesn't matter if you are in a gang neighborhood or Wall Street.

Conservatism encourages lawlessness. Plain and simple.

You should know that you can't diss a republican, despite obvious fault, in an OC forum...these are the people who paid to elect him.

I certainly never paid to elect him: my point simply is: someone explain why this gal plight is the fault of Bush or his administration. No one is claiming he was a perfect Pres, but you obviously also think it was his fault. Can you explain?

According to Dictionary.com:

scape⋅goat

–noun

1. a person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.

2. Chiefly Biblical. a goat let loose in the wilderness on Yom Kippur after the high priest symbolically laid the sins of the people on its head. Lev. 16:8,10,26.

–verb (used with object)

3. to make a scapegoat of: Strike leaders tried to scapegoat foreign competitors.

Sure beats taking responsibility for your own actions, doesn't it?

30K is good money? A single person making 30K in CA has no chance of ever buying a home. Even now.

And, if she did buy a home, it would just be going backwards for her no matter when she bought if it was in the last 2 years. If she had bought 2 years ago, her home would now be worth 60% of what she paid and if a condo, less than half.

No, I don't think she did herself any harm by not buying a home. She would have lost it. The way things are, and if she plays her cards right, her credit will stay strong even on the streets.

She'll be back. She writes too well. What's her number, I'll talk to her.

I guessed she was in her 30's to early 40's and if that's the case then there could have been enough time to save up for a home if all you were doing with your life was working. As far as the money, the way she make it out to be, she sounds like she made more then 30k but I really don't know I just threw the figure out there.

Regardless, I'm still a firm believer in home ownership because you have more options, such as, renting out the rooms. Had she had her own home, and she lost her job, she could have rent out the rooms to the boat loads of people who come to California every year that want to be stars until she found another job.

A. She isn't an executive, She's an executive secretary.
B. She is turning down housing so she can hold on to her large breed dog.
C. She is geographically limiting herself to the OC v. move to somewhere that might have a better employment prospect.

But, oh yeah, its all Bush's fault.
