I am looking for a GOOD group home for my 23 yr old autistic son. We currently live in Orange County CA. Or if someone is aware of some sort of assisted living facility that takes autistic adults.

I would contact the Easter Seals. They work with handicapped children and adults, especially those with autism. My daughter is autistic, and they are a great source of referrals and services. I bet they can point you in the right direction.

Center for Adaptive Learning in Concord California has a 40 bed program for older adults(over 20). I am currently going through the process for my nephew who is also a client of the North Bay Regional Center, they pay a certain amount for the program. Without the help of the Regional Center ( one has to gualify for the the NBRC, took us over 1 year)we would not be able to afford the cost of the program, sad for many. Carol
