The winters are miserable, spring tries to destroy things with its violent thunderstorms and flooding rains. Do you 'whiners' know what 3 feet of floodwater in a basement is like? I've been through it twice and finally had to bite the bullet and install over $10,000 worth of flood control just for the stupid basement. I've had it here. I'd rather live in a empty refrigerator box under the Santa Ana Freeway than to spend the rest of my days here!

Come on out. Your demand for our housing raises our housing prices.

I just returned from vacation in Orange County. It was almost 90 degrees for two days last week--ugh! In March! I'm glad to be back. It's 40 degrees and foggy out, with a high in the mid-50s later. Nothing to cry about.

Enjoy the refrigerator box.

I'm coming out this October to check things out. Been keeping an eye on real estate through Realtor.com and the OC Register. I'd be more than happy to give your R.E. a shot in the arm.

Still not dry enough for me.
I'm all about 100+ heat and dirt/sand/rocky mountains for miles around.

But if I were going to deal with precipitation, I'd take the Mountain State snow over a straight, liquid downpour any day of the week.
At least with the snow, you could shake it/dust it off before it soaks into your clothes.

If you are serious, forget about realtor and use Search Homes for Sale & Find Real Estate Agents Who Put You First | Redfin

Also, I put together a bunch of useful househunting tools:

We just bought in September so a lot of this stuff is still fresh in my mind.

Thanks for the info, Charles! I'll be checking this out! It will take awhile to sell our house; sales are flat but I'm not gonna ask for a selling price that is out of line. Chicago R.E. took the same hit as OC and all of SoCal.

Bad timing on your part. Over the weekend temps started dropping, and today the difference between last Thursday was 40 degrees.
