I interviewed 3x's for a position at the hospital in fullerton and was offered the job today. I am so excited, now I have to find a place to live--rent that is!
Any suggestions? I want to live as close as possible to the beach. I need an apartment for 3 months until I can find a house to rent in a nice area.

A 3 month rental? Going to be extra expensive. Maybe stay in an extended stay instead?

Think about renting a sublet for a couple of months. Many people travel or go away for business and you can rent their home while you work and check out areas you want to permanently move to.

Craigslist and AirBNB are good starts.

An extended stay is a hotel that is designed and priced for extended stays(like weeks or even months). They're generally setup like a small studio. You get a kitchen, fridge, dishes, dining nook, bed, tv, couch, full bathroom, eating and cooking utensils, etc. On top of it you get turn down service, you can pay for laundry, and some of them will give you fresh dishes and such.

Or maybe even a furnished short term apartment like Oakwood. I know there's an Oakwood in Seal Beach but I don't know if there's one closer to Fullerton. But yeah, short term, close to the beach, summer approaching = $$$$$$.

This is your best bet. You pay by the week or month & when you're ready to move into a house you just move. No deposit & last months rent is required. Yrs back i stayed at a extended hotel for a few months. Its well worth it but be cautious of your surroundings & neighbors.
