I've heard of small pocket of gangs in SJC, when I was searching for homes in the last 5 years. But years ago, in the early 90s, I almost bought a home with almost half an acre in SJC, so it must not been bad then. I just visited San Clemente today and it seems more run down then I remember, especially the area near the DMV.

I have lived in south Orange County for years and only recently became aware of this area around LaZanja. Yup, it is a bad neighborhood (the ONLY one in DEEP south Orange County) and the OCSD gets about 70% of its calls from this area. NOBODY speaks English here. I just avoid the area entirely because even the idiots who live in this area know better than to venture far from it. Most of the condos/townhomes in this area house 15 to 25 people. That is the only way these clowns can afford the rent here. YUP......get to live in a dump for a lot of money. But.....even THIS area is LIGHT YEARS better than places like Santa Ana.

I live in La zanja and it is nothing like how Lennonn14 described it. It is a place where everyone bonds. Drug dealing in corners ? really ? False information. We, “ La Zanjas “ as you may say have something that your Chicago self doesn’t and that my darling is “respect” and “well mannered”. Because we don’t go around saying “Chicago is so horrible ! things there are cheap because they’re so poor !” No, we don’t. Full disclosure if you never lived in La Zanja and just spend 10 seconds there, don’t judge us just because we don’t have the luxurious things a private community may have. Thank you.

“immigrants” ? are you serious ?? half of us mexicans work more than you guys and the reason why there are immigrants in the US is because they come here for a better liked not for their selfs but for their kids and they cross a whole ton just so they can see their kids be successful. Guess you never will have it that way because you aren’t an immagrant. So please before even saying they’re scary take a moment and try on their shoes..bet you won’t even last a day in them.
